Mark Paul: Florida Panthers: Tonight can make or break their season

Every game is a must win for Florida. They made a very good late season run but it’s too late. The teams in front are playing too well.

And as of 11 PM EST they are still hanging on.

The questions that matter are:

1. Can they beat Boston twice in four days?
2. Who among Pittsburgh, Columbus, Philadelphia and New Jersey is going to lose twice?
3. Who among those same four will lose once?

Shades of '14/'15, an amazing late season run after coming together under a new coach that'll probably end in ninth place... But watch out for them next year.
Hopefully the fan base gets over their anger/resentment from last year's debacle and this year's expansion draft decisions and starts to show up again.

No, not that bad. It looks even worse on tv because the seats behind players benches are expensive club seats. Across the rink is usually much more full as the tix are less money. The team being a joke for most of twenty years has a lot to do with fans being apathetic. Fans have little faith or trust in any owners truly turning it around, any faith the new owners had earned since taking over was dashed last year. Most wrote them off last year, many of the rest gave up after Boston hammered them last weekend.
Nashville used to be in a similar place, with many calling for them to be moved, But as Nashville has shown, a good team will put butts in the seats. Funny how no one talks about they should move the Preds from Smashville any longer, in fact they all want to travel there and experience a game in that crazy atmosphere.

No worries. I didn't take that as you trying to be a jerk, I wasn't aiming to sound like one, either. They draw much better on weekends, but you'll still be able get tix.
